Rapid Granulator was founded in 1942 in Bredaryd, Sweden by founder Harry Johansson. He wanted Rapid Granulator products to make a difference for everyone who uses them, but also for the communities in which they operate. When the company started, they were among the first in the industry to supply mills and shredders for recycling plastic waste. Today, over 80 years later, Rapid Granulator has delivered more than 100,000 machines worldwide and has operations on all continents. However, the head office, production and development remain in Bredaryd.

Rapid Granulator and Centramec have a long history of successful cooperation on the Swedish market. As of January 2022, Centramec is the exclusive distributor of Rapid Granulator in Sweden.
