New central material handling facility with expanded drying capacity, increased storage volume, and full digital oversight of material flows.
A Successful Project at Plasman
When Plasman in Simrishamn needed to meet increased production demands, the company invested in a new central material handling facility with expanded drying capacity, increased storage volume, and full digital oversight of material flows. At the same time, this created the opportunity to significantly expand raw material storage capacity, providing greater flexibility in purchasing and better conditions for buying larger raw material batches at competitive prices.
EasyWay from Plastic Systems
A central part of the new facility is the EasyWay monitoring and control system from Plastic Systems. The system gives operators a visual overview of the entire material handling process and makes it easy to track material flows, drying processes, and the facility’s status in real time.
The entire facility was modeled in 3D
An important success factor was that the entire facility was modeled in 3D already during the design phase. This gave Plasman a clear picture of the final result already at the quotation stage, while any potential challenges could be identified and resolved before installation began. The detailed planning contributed to a smooth and trouble-free on-site installation.
For Plasman, the EasyWay system in particular has been a major improvement. Through the visual presentation of the entire material handling process, operators get a quick and clear overview of the processes, which facilitates both daily operations and production follow-up.
The project in Simrishamn shows how modern design engineering, increased storage capacity, efficient material drying, and digital monitoring can be combined into one cohesive solution. With the new facility, Plasman has created good conditions for future growth and upcoming production projects.

EasyWay from Plastic Systems will be showcased at Fakuma in Friedrichshafen on October 12–16. The system provides a clear visual overview of the entire material handling process and can integrate material transport, storage, drying, and process control into a shared user interface that contributes to better control, traceability, and efficiency in production.
“Centramec, with Mats Lindblad as project manager, has been a committed and reliable partner throughout the entire project. The installation was carried out smoothly, and the new facility works very well. Above all, EasyWay gives us an overview of material flows and processes, which significantly simplifies daily work.”

Via a screen placed in the production facility, the operator can have full control over operating status.
